The Colt Anaconda is a large frame double-action revolver featuring a full-length under-barrel ejection-rod lug and a six-round cylinder, designed and produced by the Colt’s Manufacturing Company in 1990. Chambered for the powerful .44 Magnum, which at the time was considered to be the strongest ammunition for handguns. Built on a new and heavier ‘MM’ frame, the Anaconda was brought out to compete with .44 Magnum contemporaries such as the S&W M29 and Ruger’s Redhawk and Blackhawk series to name a few. Considering that many of the aforementioned models had been marketed and sold for a full 35 years upon the Colt Anaconda’s introduction, it was a very late entry into the large-bore handgun market, never-the-less it was the preferred pick for sports enthusiast shooters and hunters due to it garnering a reputation as being the most accurate .44 Magnum revolver on the market. Production on the older design of the Anaconda stopped in 2003 and recently only restarted production in 2021 using a newer and stronger design, featuring a greatly improved frame construction and uses an albeit oversized action of the Colt Python, which resulted in the creation of one of Colt’s best-selling .44 revolver series to date.

Marushin has gone to great lengths to make a faithful yet skirmish-able replica of the Colt Anaconda featuring models with barrel lengths ranging from 4 inches, 6 inches, and 8 inches with either a Hogue rubber grip or a Walnut Colt Stallion Medallion wood grip. Powered by HFC134a duster gas, the Marushin Colt Anaconda has a 6-round BB capacity via Marushin’s included .44 Magnum shells. The gun features an adjustable hop-up, with the sliding adjustment dial located near the chamber, on top of the cylinder assembly, making the Marushin Colt Anaconda a highly skirmish-able sidearm compared to many other Airsoft revolvers on the market that only has a fixed hop or no hop at all. Do not be fooled by the polymer plastic construction as the Marushin Colt Anaconda is constructed using Japanese-grade ABS polymer plastic and has a reinforced metal internal frame and all internal components are made of metal, resulting in a very smooth double/single action trigger and hammer. The gun also features a high-visibility front sight post with a windage and elevation adjustable rear sight, allowing the end user to fully adjust the sight picture as needed.
